Mike took part in a Twitter interview with DJ Paul Van Dyk today. Paul Van Dyk recently remixed BURN IT DOWN and the remix was part of the LIVING THINGS REMIXED subscription for fans who pre-ordered LIVING THINGS. Check out the Remix if you haven’t done so HERE..
Mike arrived to the chat a little early due to a time zone mix up and answered some fan questions. Check out a summary below:
• LP sketch songs with rough vocals that sometimes have no words, then slowly turn the made up words into real words.
• He thinks the visual/video for LOST IN THE ECHO will be ready this month.
• Mike would like to create music for “what Netflix calls "Dark Independent" and "Mind Bending Thriller" David Fincher / Christopher Nolan, etc”
• Mike is currently putting together the next LPU album, with 10 never-before-heard Linkin Park demos!
• Mike said “we talked about releasing accapellas and instrumentals for LIVING THINGS, actually.”
• Mike scored some levels for the upcoming Medal Of Honor Warfighter game.

• Mike has never danced to Paul Van Dyk’s music in Spain at 6am.
• LP played shows with Die Antwoord on tour last year. Mike thinks they were incredible.
• When asked the question “Whats the weirdest thing you have got from a fan?” Mike responded with “their baby. I gave it back though.”
• He has never met Paul Van Dyk in person.
• When asked about what instruments Mike would like to play, he replied “I'd love to be good at the drums. I play a little, but I'm terrible!”
• Mike would “probably not” be a judge in a TV singing show if he was offered the job
• “When would you consider the defining moment where you first realized you were successful?” Mike replied “when I could get free music gear directly from the company.”
• Mike and Paul Van Dyk both prefer SONY 7506 headphones
• Wall E is his favourite cartoon movie.
• When asked about his role in Linkin Park, he said “I'm probably most focused on songwriting & producing. I play piano better than guitar, & rap better than sing.”
